Ron Howard and Brian Grazer have a 3-movie plan for Steven King’s “Dark Tower” with an accompanying TV series apparently to keep the audience engaged between the films. I like the concept provided that information is given within the TV episodes that bridges the films (vs it just being information you don’t need).
I like the way they’re thinking here and also interesting to note that Netflix is in the mix as the possible distributor (financier?) of the TV series as Universal has apparently passed on the entire project.
I would love if there were an accompanying app that had even more of the plot that was unavailable in any other form. This is the kind of multi-platform programming that needs to be done now.
